We’ve recently upgraded our network software from Novell 5 to windows 2003 server. Our client OS is windows 2000 pro. The problem I’m having is having certain workstations not being able to print DOS based programs to a network printer even though the workstation is mapped to the specific printer. Printing from windows is fine, and I should add that it was printing DOS jobs up until recently. A temp fix I use to work round the problem is deleting the port(lpt2) from DOS prompt and asking the user to re-log on which then re-maps the printer. The problem is the next day, I seem to have the same problem.
