Printing Issue with wk2 Server & HP 5500dn

I’m experiecing a problem with a network printer (hp 5500dn). Its setup properly and users can print to it through the server share. The issue is this: after a user prints a job, the server queue retains a copy of the print job. It accumulates (today was up to 80) and when the server is rebooted the printer proceeds to spew these jobs wasting a lot of paper and toner. This occurs even with a test page. I’ve gone over the HP settings and the options for this type of printing are disabled. My immediate thought is that this is either a Spooler issue or an issue between w2k and the Jetdirect in the priter itself. Any help would be appreciated.
