Printing Limits

By KingOfTheNerds ·
Hi All,

I am in a school environment and at the end of every day I have around 150 pages of rubbish that has been printed off and left there.

I am running W2k server and I have W2K clients. Can anyone tell me how to setup a page printing limit of around 10 pages per day, per user.

I have mainly Lexmark Optra S 1250 and 1650 Laser Printers if this helps.

Thankyou

That isn't going to be a setting which youc an set by default via a GPO. The link below shows the ones that you can set:

You are going to need some third-party information management with printer management software. And depending on the number of clients that you have, this may be far more expensive than the waste paper costs.

Print Audit might meet your needs:

Okay well is there a way in W2K server to have the users name print on the bottom of every page they print?
