Printing oddities w/ NDPS

by brianaaa12 . Updated 24 years, 11 months ago

We have a network with a 3-port JetDirect box attached, servicing 2-printers. An HP 6P and an Epson LQ-1070+. We have NDPS set up and installed on the client workstations. Since we also have an old DOS app running we have created Queues for each of the printers and have the NDPS printers servicing those Queues.
When printing a report from the DOS app, the job stops before the complete report is finished. It’s generally in the same spot, about a half-page short of being complete. There are no errors generated. The print queue is empty and everything looks normal. If the job is sent to the screen, a file or to the LaserJet print queue, the entire job is sent, but if it’s sent to the epson queue, it stops short.

I have deleted andrecreated the queue (with a different name) and tried changing to the generic/text driver. Neither helped. When the printer is connected directly to a workstation, the job prints complete, so the app is not an issue, nor is the driver or printer. I can’t find a TID that addresses this. At this point it has to be either the JetDirect print server or something in NetWare. Any ideas?
