Printing only 1 sheet when 10 are needed

Here's a weird one I can't seem to figure out. Someone is trying to print off several envelopes from Tray 1 on an HPLJ 4200 (most current drivers)

Before they print, they are sure to change "Number of Copies" to 5, 10, 15, etc. whatever... (Any number higher than one) However, when they click Print, the darn thing always just prints ONE. Never more than that.

Has this happened to anyone else out there and is there a fix I'm not seeing? Thanks!

Since it's with envelopes--do they set the paper type before entering the number to print? I know that changing the paper type will revert the number to print to one, so just a guess.

They do not set the paper type before entering the number to print. It is already the default. All they do is put in, say, 5 copies, and hit Print. It even says "5" in the box, but when it prints, only one emerges.

That might be part of the problem--try setting the paper type, and see if it prints to correct number. Some printers aren't very 'bright' about multiples of specialized media.

I am experiencing a similar problem. I have a HP Color LaserJet 4650dn. Whenever I try to print multiple copies of a document, it only prints one, even with normal documents. I tried specifying the paper type and the paper tray to use. This printer is setup exacly like another one that we have, but the other one allows me to print more than one copy.
