Printing over DSL

By Timmy1234 ·
I'm relatively new to DSL routers and modems. I need to be able to print from my office over the internet to my home office. In my home office there is a DSL router which has a printer connected to it.

Can someone tell me what has to be enabled or could point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

dsl printing

I think you go for VpN implementation .between office and home . It will allow you to access the shared printers at your office. if you have a dsl router it should have port forwarding to future to redirest vpn calls to the system. go to microsoft site and serah vpn implemetation for details.

You can make your home printer shared and do it.

You will need a static IP address or enroll at dyndns or similar service. Then just put in the ip address of your pc and print to it. If you have a home router that would complicate it. Personally I just print to PDF using a program called PDF995 and then send the file home and print it with acrobat reader.
