printing question mark instead of bullet

By michael.spellman ·
I have a Canon 5000 both pcl and post script drivers ...the Word doc that I am printing has bullets in the body of the format but when I print it it the bullets come out as question marks...How do I fix this?

Here's an old solution:
Under Printer properties, on the Font or Fonts tab, click to select the Always Use TrueType Fonts or Print TrueType As Graphics check box, and then click OK.
What version of Word is it?

Another option for this is to 'send TrueType as bitmaps'. Also, make sure you are using the correct driver. We have both Pcl and PostScript drivers available for use on our colour laserjet, and if anyone other than the DTP users attempt to print using the PostScript driver the printer regurtitates reams of meaningless characters.

Another thing... are your fonts installed correctly and are they supported by the printer?

Good luck
