Privacy Compromised?

I have just installed a camera the IBM PC Camera. The software installation was going fine until I was told the Microsoft Strongly Recommends that I stop this installation because the software is not digitaly signed by microsoft.IBM says to ignore this message and install the driver anyway.
Ever since installing, I have had users typing over me while writting emails, or strange words appearing in the title bars, or the message fields, along with the screen refreshing itself constantly, Anyone have ANY idea what is going on?
