To what extent one’s activity in incognito mode is private and secured?
If I access bank’s websites for monetary transactions or any other very sensitive websites for extremely private information, will it remain inaccessible to all forever , even if I give my laptop for repairs to engineer?

The history of what you did is deleted if you close the incognito window. But I don’t think it’s erased. So a recovery program for deleted files might find and recover the data.

Depending on your setup, the DNS cache may leave a trace that you went to some site. Newer systems encrypt DNS lookups.

Then there’s the site you visited. It has logs. Those are not under your control.

well incognito mode prevents your browser from saving your history, cookies, and site data, but it doesn’t make you completely anonymous. Your internet service provider, employer, or websites you visit can still track your activity.

      Understanding Privacy in Incognito Mode

      Hi,

Incognito mode offers limited privacy. Here’s what it does and doesn’t do:

      What it does:

Prevents your browsing history, cookies, and site data from being stored on your device.
Ensures any files downloaded or bookmarks created remain accessible.
      What it doesn’t do:

Doesn’t hide your activity from your ISP, employer, or the websites you visit.
Doesn’t protect against keyloggers or spyware if your system is compromised.
