Problem Getting Into WIN95 BIOS

By chuckwilmoth ·
How do I access the BIOS during start up on Panasonic CF-41 laptop running Windows 95. Need to change boot sequence, because it is going to hard drive first instead of floppy disk drive.

What does BIOS have to do with O/S?

by rzan In reply to Problem Getting Into WIN9 ...

BIOS has nothing to do with the operating system on your laptop. The most common ways of accessing the BIOS on most machines are:

F1
F2
ESC
Del
Shift-F1
Ctrl-Esc

Look at your keyboard, it should have a setup key on it. You may have to push some kind of function key to access it. On laptops, most keys have 3 or even 4 functions if you press them in combination with some kind of function key.

From a cold start..

Watch the screen carefully look out for messages along the lines of "Press X to enter setup"
where X could be F1, F2, Del, F10 or a variety of other key strokes. failing that fall back on that last resort of the scoundrel, RTFM.
