See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302361 for info on a registry modification that may be helpful. You should also check the system event log on the terminal server to see if there are any errors with regard to missing printer drivers.

I have a lot of difficulty with HP printers on my terminal server, both NIC and USB, the user will print something and it will get stuck in the spooler, usually restarting the print spooler service will clear it up for the day. I have to do it just about every day.

Also when the user logs out I find that if the printer is not functioning properly, the copy of the printer will stay on the server even though the associated user is no longer logged in. Usually i get an error when trying to delete the printer as well saying the name is incorrect which kind of makes sense since the printer is not really there. HP 1505 and HP 1505n give me the most trouble, wouldn't be surprised if thats what your using.
