Problem installing program created in VB

by aileenyong . Updated 23 years, 11 months ago

I have created a program using VB6 with Access as well as SQL as the database. I have no problems installing it on a Windows 2000 platform. I used to have no problems installing on a Windows 98 platform. However, lately I kept getting the error message ‘Cannot find the source file ‘Path\\@Personal.rpt’ to install. The installation stops and it uninstalls itself. I have checked the .cab files and the Personal.rpt is in one of the .cab files. Every time I make changes to the program and compile again, it gives me the same message but with a different file. It may be a .rpt/.dll/.ocx file.

This only happens when I am installing on a Windows 98 pc. I would appreciate it if someone out there can tell me the cause of this problem.
