We are running Netscape Proxy Server 3.5 with Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 SP4 on a Compaq Proliant 1200 Server.
Netscape Proxy Service has no noted issues.
When accessing the Proxy Access logs via Admin Server, Admin Server tends to fail. Dr. Watson displays an exception violation in viewacc.exe.
After this happens, I attempt to stop the NS Admin Server Service. The service does not respond to the stop call, although the “Started” display disappears. When attempting to restart the Service, a message appears stating that “The service is already started”.
The only fix noted, thus far, is a restart of the Server.
I have attempted reinstallation of the Netscape software, and I have applied all applicable NS Administration Server “SurfPacks” available for this platform.
