I am currently having problems with re-installing mcafee virus scan w/SP v4.5.0.534 with a scan engine 4.1.60. The OS which it runs on is workstation 4.0. Somehow, the engine refuses to load up on startup of the pc. Even when I try to start it up incontrol panel, it just hangs until I wait it out and close it . I have tried re-installing over it and but that doesn’t work. As a result of this, the pc is now exposed to virus attack. I have also tried uninstalling from control panel(add/remove) but it always comes up with a message that the process was interrupted and was unable to complete. How can I tackle the problem?
