In the systems BIOS (CMOS) do you have "Look for keyboard" checked.

OR, maybe the keyboard has come dislodged from its connection.

Did it happen after you installed some new hardware?

It might be a hardware incompatibility then. In that case you better boot from 'last known good' after removing the new hardware. But since your keyboard is maybe not working correctly you can't use 'F8' (or 'F4' on some machines) to get into the boot menu. Try anyway and if both keys don't have an effect I can only hope you can plug in an external keyboard.

Do the LEDs for NumLock, CapsLock and ScrollLock flash when you switch on the Laptop ?

If not it may be a hardware failure.

Good luck

The keyboard on the laptop works fine, there is a program that is trying to send date to the keyboard as an output. Since a keyboard is not able to receive data, I get this error. I do not know what program or driver that it is. This is what I am looking for... THank you for the try
