Looks like I need some help. I made a System Image for my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit computer not long ago and saved it on a second hard drive in my desktop. I also made a System Repair Disc when I initially installed Windows 7 Pro some time ago. After experiencing some problem, I removed my SSD c drive and installed a new one – same capacity. Then I restarted my computer with the Repair Disc and selected Restore using System Image (or something like that). It found my System Image on the other hard drive, but when I try to restore my system, I get a message saying “System Image Restore Failed. Windows can not restore a System Image to a computer that has different firmware. The System Image was created on a computer using EFI and the computer is using BIOS.”
I don’t understand – I just recently made the system image on this computer and have not changed anything other than the hard drive.
Anyone have any ideas?
