problem Updating Win XP

By courtjester ·
Hi there,
When I try to update IE6 SP1 on Windows XP Home, I get this error message during the install "The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. This software will not be installed. Contact your system administrator."
Can anyone please try and help me solve this problem?

Thanks,
jester

If you have XP SP1 installed on that system, it already has IE6 SP1 installed on it.

How exactly were you updating it?

If you need to reinstall IE6 SP1, you can get details here:

remove the KB823559 security patch, restart your computer, install IE6 SP1, and then reinstall the KB823559 security patch.
