Problem with booting up Windows XP

by pisharath_s . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

My computer is a dual boot system with Windows XP and linux based Fedora. I usually works with XP and am a novice with linux.Last week, while working, I got a message like C:/secure file is corrupt and system prompted me to recheck the disk drives. After doing it, the system didn’t boot(even in the safe mode).I tried to reinstall the OS from the CD, but also in vain. During the process, the screen displays the message” checking for hardware” and goes blank.Interestingly, when I tried with the Ubuntu CD, the drive is working fine. The fedora OS is fully functional. Wondering whether anyone could help me out in this problem? Thank you very much, Sreekumar
