I am having a problem with printing certain fonts, italics and table borders with an HP 670C running on (Windows XP Professional) that I think are related to vertical alignment.
What I have done:
1. Installed and reinstalled the printer with the XP driver, which from the info on HP’s site is the only option available.
2. Performed the alignment procedure available from the Printer Properties/Advanced tab. The horizontal alignment comes out OK, but the vertical prints out a series of vertical lines that are spread all over the place.
3. Checked HP’s site and performed a search from several search engines. I did just find an entry on HP’s site regarding another problem I am having, indicating that the clutch actuator is disengaged. I am not at home right now, so I can’t correct that, but I am wondering if the clutch actuator problem can cause alignment issues.
I’ve got lots of points, so I’m being generous in hopes of a quick, accurate answer. Thanks.
