As a PC game enthusiast, I spend some of my free time playing new releases. Recently I’ve been playing an RTS where the Control key is pressed followed by a number to assign a squad of units a squad number. I’m been using CTRL+ 1, 2, and 3, and have realized to my dismay that when I press for example CTRL+2 to assign squad 2, this game moves to screen #2. This results in a catastrophic game crash which is oh so nice when you are in an online tournament 1 vs 1 ( a disconnect results in an automatic game loss).
Some of you may suggest that I simply run the keyboard without installing the sofware for it, which would in fact stop the screen switching. This I have tested. Unfortunately I’m using some advanced macros that are used for special functions in the game that I play. Without the Logitech G15 software, I can’t use the pre-prorammed macros.
Do any of you know the answer to how to disable the CTRL + (insert number here) so that it will not swap to the screen number? I’m using a tripple monitor setup. I can imagine if there are 2 screens, CTRL 1 and 2 are sensitive, and if there are more than 3 screens, each number follows as such. In my case CTRL 1-3 are out of the question because my game crashes right away as the game window is moved to the next screen. The game engine simply can’t handle that kind of interruption.
Thanks.
