Problem with Logitech G15 Keyboard on a Tri-monitor Setup. Help please?

By Exsosus ·
As a PC game enthusiast, I spend some of my free time playing new releases. Recently I've been playing an RTS where the Control key is pressed followed by a number to assign a squad of units a squad number. I'm been using CTRL+ 1, 2, and 3, and have realized to my dismay that when I press for example CTRL+2 to assign squad 2, this game moves to screen #2. This results in a catastrophic game crash which is oh so nice when you are in an online tournament 1 vs 1 ( a disconnect results in an automatic game loss).

Some of you may suggest that I simply run the keyboard without installing the sofware for it, which would in fact stop the screen switching. This I have tested. Unfortunately I'm using some advanced macros that are used for special functions in the game that I play. Without the Logitech G15 software, I can't use the pre-prorammed macros.

Do any of you know the answer to how to disable the CTRL + (insert number here) so that it will not swap to the screen number? I'm using a tripple monitor setup. I can imagine if there are 2 screens, CTRL 1 and 2 are sensitive, and if there are more than 3 screens, each number follows as such. In my case CTRL 1-3 are out of the question because my game crashes right away as the game window is moved to the next screen. The game engine simply can't handle that kind of interruption.

Reassign the keys for the Logitech software.

If it is that configurable, you should be able to reassign those keys.

Or, reassign the game keys in the game software.

Or, use one monitor while gaming.

I have disabled the other screens while in a game.

I've been through all the menus in the G15 software and there is no such description, not even in the Help file, about disabling CTRL + 1,2,3, or more for each screen window switch.

I will disable my other monitors while in a game until I can find a solution to this problem. Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone who is reading this can easily test this by: Clicking your web browser window so that it is in the front of all your other windows, press Ctrl+2 keys and see if your web browser jumps to screen number two. Right now I'm using Google Chrome web browser, and pressing Ctrl+2 will move this program to screen 2. Pressing Ctrl+1 brings it right back to the main display. This is catastrophic for a full screen game.

The more that I think about this, it feels more like a Windows Vista problem and not a keyboard issue. This would be correcting my statement from above. I will test as soon as possible with a different keyboard whilst disabling the Logitech drivers temporarily for the G15 keyboard.
