i want to connect my 2 pcs using crossover cable. i already have a pre installed NIC on my mboard so i thought that connecting the 2 pc for small 2 player game should be easy.
i already inserted the ends of the x over cable to their respective slots. the cable is fine and is working because a note saying that my local area connection is connected. i already did the basics to know that my LAN network is working.
the problem is, when i ping the ip address of the other computer (comp 2) it gave me a requested timeout, while “pinging” itself (comp 1) would return a message that replys to the ping
my frend to told me that it could be the ICF that prevents the connection of the 2 pcs, but i already turn off any antivirus software or firewall in my computer and still i have the same problem.. could any one please help me with this?!?!
