Problem with NT Network Neighborhood

By herbert.lohninger ·
If I want to browse in the network neighborhood
on my NT Servers (with SP6) (PDC and BDC on the same location) I get the following message box:

[Domain] is not accessible.
The account is not authorized to login from this station.

If I access the shares over a dos box there is not a problem.

Go to User Manager for Domains on one of your DC's. From the toolbar, select Policies -> User Rights. Select "Access this computer from the network". If the Everyone group is not listed, users will be unable to browse your servers thru Network Neighborhood.

Sorry, but that's not the solution.
If I connect me to the server over remote control, I didn't see anyone in the network neighborhood.
The same problem occurs by the second server (BDC)

It might be the user account that you are loged in with to that particular server. Did you try to log on as any other account (admin, domain user) ?
