Problem with office XP

recently I have been having problem with three pcs . All three pcs have windows Xp nad office XP. While opening office Xp word or access I have a message that “word have encounterd an error and will be close. please contact microsoft”. So I unistall office XP and reinstall OFFICE XP but the problem still persists. COuld anyone let me know how to solve this problem. I also got another problem “windows protection fault” .Its urgent
