I recently bought a VIA VT6421 RAID Controller to add additional hard drives (over the one IDE port onboard now and over the 3 onboard S-ATA ports sometime later) to my system. The problem is, after installing the PCI Card and drivers, and after hooking up either a hard drive or optical drive to the IDE port, nothing happens. In the VIA V-RAID tool, no drives are shown. In the device manager the PCI RAID controller is shown to be connected, and the drivers are meant to be properly installed. Did I install something incorrectly? Do I need to re-install Windows and install the RAID driver from the very beginning? Thanks in advance.
