problem with shutting down win 98

Iam having the following intermitent problem
occuring when I shut down windows 98.When I select windows 98 to shut down it,starts to shut down then the blue screen of death comes on with the following text messege.Fatal exception error 0E has occured at 0028:C29F9C68 in VXD PCIMP(01)+00001C08.Microsoft of course has no idea what this means. Please help if any one can me resolve this problem. thank you
