Our company has a working Work Request type program for its 30+ branches (connected by T1 WAN) written in VB5.0. I am upgrading the program to VB 6.0. I have completed the upgrade/testing, but I am having trouble with the VB6 install program created by the VB6 Package Development Wizard. It will install with no problems on a workstation in the home office (Texas), but bails out when the install is run at a branch (i.e., Alabama). I’ve tried having the branch user run the install from the home office server, I have copied the home office install program to the branch server, and I have created the install program on the branch server. All have failed at one point or another during the install. Any suggestions?
