Problem with Window2003 NLB Clustering

By param2k_st ·
Hi All,

Mine is a Windows 2000 domain network with 2 Windows 2k domain contollers. Now I have to setup Windows 2003 NLB on 2 server.
To do this I have installed windows 2003 ent. ed. on 2 test servers, both with two NIC cards. I am following the exact steps to setup NLB. Setup Front end IP for both the servers and NIC1 of both servers. And when I set an IP (cluster IP) and enable and configure the cluster IP, cluster name, dedicated IP (Front end IP) and other settings and apply, onthe NIC2 of the 1st server, it is going off the network. Not able to ping from any system to it or vice versa (Both for Frond end IP & Cluster IP).
And so, there is no point in setting up the configurations on the 2nd server.

I have tested the same kind of setup on a windows 2003 domain at other office and it works absolutely work fine. Can't Windows 2000 domain support Windows 2003 NLB clustering?....
Any help will be grealty appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
