This is a very interesting situation. I have two users in a department that both have access to a network/shared drive. User #1 creates a Word document and saves it to the network/shared drive. User #2 opens up the file, modifies the Word document, and then saves it back to the network/shared drive. When user #1 goes to open the revised Word document she is asked for a password. This appears to only be happening with Word documents.
The problem is further complicated by the fact that User #2 can send this same revised file to User #1 as an email attachment and User #1 can open it just fine. User #2 further stated that this is only a problem with User #1. I have no idea why this is happening. I’d appreciate any help that can be provided.
