PROBLEMS PRINTING A WATERMARK

By plarson ·
We use Word 2003, and are having problems printing a watermark. I select the DRAFT option for the watermark and make sure that my printing options are set to include Background colors and images. While the watermark displays properly in Print Preview, when it prints to any printer (network and/or local), the letters D, A and T will display on odd-numbered pages and the letters A and F are displayed on even-numbered pages. I can't find a solution problem anywhere on the internet. Anybody else have this problem, and if so, how did you fix it?

Quick fix...

I have encountered this same issue as well. I have found that unchecking the "semitransparent" option seems to resolve the issue most of the time.

Problems Printing a Watermark

I am having the exact same problem on MS Word 2003. If I create a brand new document it works but if I try to insert this into an existing document it does as described by plarson

I did find the following solution. Go to Format | Background | Printed Watermark, and make sure there is no check in the Semitransparent option. If your watermark doesn't print at all, go to Tools | Options | Print, and make sure there is a checkmark by Background colors and images. I hope this helps.
