Problems with boot.ini file

I have a Domain Windows 2000. I have a member server windows 2000 with Exchange 2000 installed. When I restart that server I must use a boot disk. After that I copy boot.ini in it. Then, some days when a restart server again I have to use boot disk.I don't know what happen with boot.ini file. It dissapear

Have you ensured the boot.ini file has the right attributes when you copy it back to the C drive. It should have the A, S and R attributes for Archive, System, and Read only. You can add these by running the following command from the root of C: c:\attrib +R +A +S boot.ini.
