Problems with Compilation in D2K

By vickymraja ·
This problem is regarding the compilation of the forms in Oracle Forms Version 6.0 and Oracle 8i as back end. When compiling the forms which have several subclassed object groups, during middle of the compilation, the complier shows the error

"This program has performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down. If the problem persists,
contact the program vendor. "

and quits. I am giving out certain brief observations which may help you in this regard.

* This problem occurs only in the forms which have subclassed object groups and note that it is not for all the forms which have subclassed object groups.
* If certain subclassed object groups are removed and then compiled, some of such forms compiled without showing the above said error.
* Further, it is made sure that there is no problem associated with the subclassed object groups
* It was first thought that the error was due to some memory problem, but its not the case since the forms are not even working with machines having with a good configuration.
* It is sure that the form builder is installed correctly and completely, and is working in the perfect condition.
* Our version details: * Forms -
* Oracle -
* PL/SQL -

Did you get an answer for this yet?

Probably a corupt fmb. Try saving to text than back and see if that works. Sometimes I get a control acting weird and I'll have to re-create the block it's in then all works ok.
