We make live recordings of lectures in both wma and mp3 formats. Up until recently, we recorded on one computer and moved/copied to another computer from across the network.
Now we can no longer copy the recorded mp3 files across the network without first making a copy of the mp3 file. The wma files are unaffected.
If we attempt to copy the original recorded mp3 file across the network we get the message below.
“Error Copying File or Folder. Cannot copy [file name]: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currentley in use.”
After making a copy of the original file in the same directory, we can then copy, move or delete the copied file from anywhere to anywhere across the network.
As I stated, recorded .wma files are not affected at all.
Any comments and ideas welcomed.
