Problems with Credentialing Windows XP

By jetskiguy ·
I have two people at my office that if they log off at the end of the night and re-login when they come in for the morning they will loose there network drives (states "Access Denied"). Of course all of them have properly permissions to those drives in active directory but they get access denied when they try to access those drives. I have tried a gpupdate /force at command prompt to refresh there group policy but it does not work. Usually 9 out of 10 times a reboot will fix the issue and they have access to there drive again. However this is fairly annoying for these users because if they leave there computer sit and it locks them out it?s the same problem all over again. Our main server is in Annapolis Maryland and we have a domain replication server setup in Lansing Michigan and are connected via a MPLS line. These 2 users having the issue are located in Lansing and are the only two users having this problem out of the 35 or so users at the Lansing location. Could it be a setting on the Win XP boxes that needs to be changed? Sounds like credentialing is not working properly? I don?t think it?s a server configuration issue otherwise everyone would have the issue. Any thoughts on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
