Problems with dial-up Adapter Windows ME

By Geoff59 ·
In diagnotsic mode I get the message problem with a system file: VxD dynamic link call: WG3N (01) + 0001924E to "0028" service 8029. In system properties I see the message - a problem with dial-up adapter in Network adapters. This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the files (ndis.VxD) that loads the drivers for the device (code To fix this problem run Windows setup again.
Where do I find the dial-up adapter files on the ME CD ROM so I can load them without having to re-install ME?

Got a feeling that the easiest thing for you to do is to re-install ME on to the existing installation. That will keep all your software and registry settings intact, but will re-install the base operating system.

That should fix it, and it will only take about 40 minutes to do. If it doesn't, you are indeed looking at a clean install.
