Problems with folder sharing and security

by acqanal . Updated 19 years, 4 months ago

I have an Access database application where I placed the data tables in a shared folder on computer-A and the Forms in a folder on computer-B. When a user who does not have admin priviliges logs on Computer-B using their profile and password, then launch the database from a shortcut, they receive a message stating that “The Microsoft Jet database cannot open the file or its its already in use exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data”. No on else was using the database at the time, and the permissions on the shared folder seems to be okay. The strange thing is the database works for someone with Admin priviliges. Please help, I’m stumped.
