I have a Toshiba Satellite 1135-S1552 laptop. For a while there was a transparent 1 and 1/2 inch or so vertical band on my LCD screen. I could still see beneath it- but everything was washed out. If I pressed the top of the screen frame it would come back in momentarily. Now, there are colored lines that pop up on the left side of my screen and sometimes the entire left side of the screen goes out- sometimes with many lines, sometimes white, sometimes black. Sometimes the whole screen goes completely grey/white.
The computer is 6 years old. Running Windows XP. Does this sound like I can just replace the LCD – and do you think it’s worth it?
Any advice would be appreciated.
