ok, here is the deal. I installed a new network card in my win98 se machine. It is a realtek 8139b. I had a network everywhere version2 card in it, but it failed for some reason. What has begun happening now is that whenever i go to network neighborhood, it shows a shortcut to my hdd, and the entire network icon. when i click on the entire network icon, i get an error message saying MPREXE has caused an invalid page fault.
now i have NO idea what this is all about. I am a hardware guy, and have limited software experience with this type of situation. Usually, when i put a machine together, it stays running like a dream from first install until it leaves my sight. This machine was running perfectly until that NE card died.
