When I click on my “my Computer” command, either it doesn’t open at all, or the window opens with just the background appearing -but with no icons appearing at all. (i.e., the icons for my various drives and document files, like “c:\, a:\ my documents,” etc.)
I have used “system restore” (which sucessfully restored to a previous date only twice out of about 18 tries -what the heck is up with this frustrating utility, also?)to go back to a time when the “My Computer” command was working, but then, after using the computer for a few days the same problem develops again!
I forgot to mention that once the incomplete “My Computer” window appears, I cannot get it to go away and it hangs up my whole system forcing me to do a “push button” reboot. Any ideas?
