Problems with recycle bin

I am runnining Windows ME. Resently the the recycle bin has stopped showing it's contents. It shows empty when I know there are files there. Thanks for your help. 100 points

There are many causes for you r problem.
Try this- right click the recyclebin icon and check whether the allocated space for deleted files are set 0% or not. If it is 0% change it to 10%. Also check the checkbox near it.

I had the same problem with a computer I was running Win98 on. It is possible that the recycle bin has been corrupted and its registry key is broken.

What I found works best is actually removing the recycling bin from your operating system and let Windows re-install it upon boot-up.

If you search this site, you'll find plenty of articles noting how to accomplish this task (put in the terms "missing recycle bin").

It worked for me, but I don't know about ME.
