processes

does anyone know where i can get a list of processes for all windows programs? Just thought i would ask, hehe.

Well, TR has several downloads that list services for various versions of Windows.

This is a good place to start looking at the services. He has some great explainations about the services in MS OSes.

If it is not there, this may seem obvious, but google the name that shows up in the process list. One of the first places that will usually show up is

http://www.liutilities.com/

It is a link to their Win Task Pro software, but the page usually has the answer you are looking for.

These 2 should help with processes that are running on the computer. As for processes on software you might install, that is a lot tougher. I would suggest installing it, paying attention to what was there before and what new stuff shows up after.
