product keys

is it possible to find the product key on the windows installation CD, with out having to install the OS?
I have 5 installation CDs but they were somehow mixed up and i’m trying to put them back to their respective systems.
Thanks any help would be appreciated.

  I believe that the installation disks are independent of the product keys. Any valid product key will work, regardless of which actual disk is used for installation. For example, you cold use the same disk for every installation, just entering unique product codes for each machine.

  The product key is not on the CD.
  Right click My Computer Properties will show the ID for a machine.

  There is no way to tell on the cd, what the product key is. Product keys are figured by an algorithm. If you can tell me what OS I might be able to help you change the key on your system.
