Professional Software to use on Client Computers

By tekworx ·
I would like to know if there is anyone out there that has a good handle on COMMERCIAL use software that I.T. technicians can use on client computers via 'on-site' OR 'remote' system servicing. Freeware or not, I have yet to find a 'cocktail' of software that individual I.T. business owners can use to troubleshoot and correct issues on client computers. Seems there are plenty for 'users' to purchase to put on their machines, but none that can be used by remote desktop support or onsite support that I.T. pros can use. Anyone???

There was a CD in the drive of an open-box PC I bought from BestBuy

It was a copy of Qualsys Pro. Nice to get a free gift from time to time. :)

Exactly what are you looking for

Not knowing exactly what you are looking for I'll suggest a few resources for carrying around on a USB drive

And of course there are always Linux LiveCDs and LiveUSBs. As far as remote access support goes I don't know of much myself yet.

Crossloop is good.

Another is GoToAssist Express

I use both at work, depending on what I need to do remotely. The latter is capable of rebooting the remote desktop, even into Safe Mode with Networking if needed, and still keep the support session going. I use it when I need to set up a new user account remotely.
