Professional Training

by ben . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

I studied Computer Science at degree level (BSc. (Hons) – good theroetical/methodical stuff, but nothing too technology specific), but would like to now go for some professional certifications having been working for about 3 years, to increase my “value” as an employee and prospects for the future. Have reams of experience in VBA/SQL/VB/Java, would like to consolidate these whilst gaining web/C++ to a higher level. I have seen the MCDBA and MSCE courses extensively advertised – but can find few hard facts about what they entail and how highly they are regarded in the industry. Are they useful to me, given my academic background? Also, what’s the difference between MCP and MSCE? Which is “better”?

Cheers anyone who can help!

Ben.
