Hi…I’m a network admin in a college having NT4.0 Server and workstations.Backbone is Fibreoptic while normal cabling is Cat5.0. Now the students come to me complaining that they right click the browser icon and goto connection and goto LAN SETTINGand theyput the proxy address and the port in the required fields to log onto the internet but when they press “ok” it does not work(they keep on pressing ok ) and their OUTLOOK when DOUBLE CLICKED on icon shows the message that “cannot start Microsoft Outlook” .For temporary solution i goto “user manager for domain” open their account and open”profile” and change their profile path from i.e. if it is “john” then it will be “John00” and anything they save is gone and they have new settings to configure so plz help and explain this thing….pleez
