Profile errors

Hello,

I am experiencing a problem with one of the machines on my network.

It is a Dell StudioXPS with 2.0GHz Dual Core, 4GB of RAM.

The machine shipped with Windows Vista Home Premium (not joinable to a Domain) but we transitioned to Windows 7 Pro for the company so this Dell was formatted (not low level, just to logically remove all traces of ?Dell Factory-ness?.

I installed Windows 7 Pro just like you would any other machine along with Microsoft Office 2007 and other software. The machine works and logs into Windows. I joined the machine to the domain and restarted. I then logged in using the users account credentials and that works two.

The problem is that every time I restart the machine, all the profile data is lost and consequently every time I log in using the users credentials, the account is re-created and all the files, emails etc that was stored during the previous session, is gone.

Why is this profile failing constantly? Any ideas?

I ran a extensive hardware diagnostic downloaded from Dell and it reports that the machine is in perfect health.

I use the same installation method on all the other machines in my business and it works perfectly.

Please help; I will appreciate any and all ideas.

Regards.
