I have been searching for a way to have the same profile for everyone that logs in to a Win2k Pro machine. Is this possible? If so How do I set that up. This is at the desktop level and I am not running roaming profiles.

You can use a logon script that tests for an environment variable to determine the operating system and then pass policies based on the results. I just saw an article in Windows 2000 Magazine about it. I think it was in the December issue.

In order to create a mandatory user profile you have to be using roaming profiles. I don't believe there is any way at the desktop level to create a single profile that is used for everyone (i.e., a local mandatory user profile). Hope this helps!
