Profiles Problems with Windows Vista as client of Win 2003 Server

I have problems making work profiles connecting computers with Windows Vista Bussines to a Windows 2003 Server Standard. The profiles don’t sincronize and the Vista (I suppose)creates a new user directory with a sufix V2 after the name of the user for example for the user profile directory \\server\profiledirectory\user the Windows Vista creates another in this way \\server\profiledirectory\user.V2 which is protected and does not sincronize.
Do you know if there is a patch to install or any solution in the Windows 2003 server to solve this problem?
