Program Error

Program Error-Your program is making an invalid dynamic link call to .DLL file

i get this message sometimes when i start my computer. but it happens all the time when i finish downloading the following from windows update site:

C-Media Electronics Incorporation – Sound

now i have no sound and when i try to access volume control, i can’t.
when i try to play an MP3 on music match, i get the following message:

MMJB Soundcard Problem
WaveOut Format not supported

this problem is killing me & i wish someone could help me!
