Program Files

after i uninstalled a program from my system, the folder is still in my c:/Program files.

can i deletes them from explorer or is there a better way of removing them?

Yes you can delete them. Sometimes uninstallers will leave behind data files not originally installed when first set up. It sometimes help to leave them behind and keep config settings.

do i need to do it from the registries also?

will it affect any config settings?

Unless you are very knowledgable with the registry I would it alone. A registry cleanup program would be a better bet if you are constantly loading & unloading programs.

Sometimes uninstallers will only delete the files originally installed. If there are other files there, e.g. files you saved or copied to the folder, the uninstaller will not delete the folder because it is not empty.

Check the installation folder and subfolders for files you may want to keep before deleting it.
