Program not found

First, I would try to identify if this program is something you need, or is a vestige of the virus. I would try to find the file, using the 'find' utility in explorer. If you find it, note the directory it is in. If it is in \WINDOWS|SYSTEM, or \WINDOWS, it should have been findable, and you may have something in the registry that is looking in a specific place, and you may need to copy the file to wherever that place is. If the file isn't on your system, and you don't seem to have any other ill effects, you may want to eliminate references to this file in your registry, or *.INI files..

If you are comfortable working with Regedit, you can search the registry for this file, and perhaps learn what it is "needed" for. It may be that it is not needed, and you can remove the reference to the file in the registry. Be sure to back up the registry first, before doing any modifications. Good luck!

Iwould suggest you go to Start>Find>File or Folders and type in the program name and scan for folder, which will try to locate on the hard drive.
Also open windows explorer and go to c:\program files, and see if the file is still on the hard drive.

First thing that I would do is remove the contents of your Startup folder. Restart your PC. If the problem goes away, then reinstall the icon one by one to see which program is using such file. I would also check the registry key for Run. Some programs that run at startup are installed here. It's in HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Run.

Enjoy!

When you try to run a program from the menu, you receive an error message that the program or one of its' components can not be found.

If another user has removed the application from their profile, the application may have been removed from thecomputer, but the shortcuts / registry entries are still in your profile.

Reinstall the application.

I think it's a registry entry problem. Type "regedit" in the run box, then look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
or HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and check the entries there if anything related to the program is present. Backup before you attempt to delete anything of course. Hope this helps.
